Investment Advisory

ecp specializes in investment advisory and marketing of funds to institutional investors and professional corporate clients. The advisory service focuses on the analysis of an investor's risk/reward tolerances reflected in the selection of a diversified portfolio of funds, providing flexibility and capable of performing in changing market conditions.

As an intermediary between investors and the fund community, ecp aims to strike a balance between impartial advice and ensuring a selection of investment solutions which are tried and tested. The pre-eminent concern throughout this process is the integrity of the managers entrusted with our clients' capital.

ecp assists fund management groups and institutions to raise funds for their investment vehicles, notably where the groups concerned are seeking to raise capital for primary capital investment purposes.

The combination of prior direct investment management experience managing alternative asset portfolios, with first hand capital markets fund raising, enables ecp to bring a wealth of knowledge to the manager when undertaking a fund-raising mandate.

When the manager is ready to start marketing their fund, ecp will offer advice in respect of investors the manager would like to reach, addressing regulatory issues, marketing restrictions or other considerations related to the target territory.

A list of prospects will be prepared for the manager’s approval, followed by both direct marketing and road show campaigns, with initial presentations organized by ecp, followed by one-on-one meetings with the manager of the fund. Part of this process will identify those prospects who qualify as strategic co-investors.

Continuous reporting enables the management group to remain reactive to investor concerns, and where necessary to address issues in a timely and effective way.

Upon closing of the funding, ecp will remain committed to servicing the fund manager/investor relationship so as to foster a strong relationship between the parties, in particular with valuation and pricing information. In cases where second and third round funding is called for, ecp will engage with its wider client base thereby broadening the scope of investors exposed to the fund.

Portfolio Management

The investment advisory service ecp proposes to its clients commences with a detailed review of their objectives, constraints and tolerance for risk. Drawn up in the form of a report accompanied by investment recommendations, this is submitted to the client for approval. Upon acceptance and the establishment of a mandate, an asset allocation model is adopted and the recommended investments implemented.

ecp respects a client's current banking relationships and is happy to work within the framework of their current investment mandates. In cases where required, we will introduce the client to those banks with whom we have a relationship.

The reporting we produce groups the client's assets held under our mandate, and includes performance results and market commentary.

Our main concern is the long term preservation and enhancement of the value of the assets under our stewardship. ecp is entirely independent and free to recommend and select those assets which comply with the client's needs  This absence of any conflict of interest leaves us free to make portfolio changes in a timely and disinterested manner.
